CINCINNATI — August 14, 2025 — A cheerful blend of creativity and community came together Thursday evening at Market Wines in Walnut Hills, where the “Summer Eve, Flowers and Wine!” event welcomed guests for a night of floral design, conversation, and fundraising.
Organized by the LULAC Ohio Educational Foundation (LOEF), the event was open to the public and aimed to raise scholarship funds for Latino students across Ohio. The evening kicked off with door prizes for the first guest to arrive, setting a warm and welcoming tone. Each attendee received a hand made tropical bird drink stirrer that served as charming decorations for the floral arrangements—later revealed to be their entry into a surprise wine raffle.
The atmosphere was lively and relaxed, with participants enjoying wine, cheese, and friendly camaraderie. Floral designer Betsy Bowers, who generously donated her time and talent, guided attendees through the creation of unique floral arrangements. Maryann owner of Market Wines not only donated the venue but also joined in the fun alongside her assistant, adding to the collaborative spirit of the evening.
By the end of the night, the event had raised approximately $800 for LOEF scholarships, fulfilling its mission to inspire creativity while supporting educational opportunities.
